Ring-type joint gaskets are designed for heavy-duty usage and high-pressure applications. Both oval and octagonal ring-type joints are fundamental types of gaskets. Octagonal ring-type joint gaskets are more prevalent in the oil and gas industry due to their superior sealing effectiveness. Additionally, all ring-type joint gasket dimensions are standardized.

The following styles of ring-type joints are available:

STYLE R | OVAL

The Style R (Oval) Ring Type Joint is designed for high-pressure applications and works with both flat and round groove flanges. It also delivers high sealing efficiency under elevated pressure conditions.

STYLE R | OCTAGONAL

The Style R (Octagonal) Ring Type Joint is designed for high-pressure applications and fits flat bottom groove flanges. Its octagonal cross-section provides enhanced sealing efficiency compared to the oval ring type joint.

STYLE RX

The Style RX Ring Type Joint is designed for high-pressure applications and is compatible with flat bottom groove flanges. While it resembles the standard octagonal ring type joint gasket, its unique cross-section enhances sealing effectiveness by utilizing the contained fluid pressure to create a more effective seal. This design improves sealing performance as internal pressure increases.

STYLE BX

The Style BX Ring Type Joint is specifically tailored for API 6BX flanges and contrasts with the standard oval or octagonal ring type joints. It features a square cross-section with tapered corners and incorporates a passage hole to equilibrate pressure on both sides of the sealing faces.
